Congratulations, Mary Jane!
June 2010
Mary Jane Whiting was nominated 2009-2010 TAPPS Fine Arts Female Student of the Year. She will be
awarded a plaque and a $500 Russell Scholarship, June 11th at the All Star and Of the Year Awards Banquet at
the San Antonio Omni Hotel for her high-level of achievement and her contribution to TAPPS.
Mary Jane has also been invited to participate as a Junior Member of the Board of Directors of the Arts Council
of the Brazos Valley. Mary Jane’s painting entitled Memory of Paris was selected as the Arts Council winner for
2010.
