The library needs YOU! A Volunteer Librarian (or several) is needed to supervise library visits from Lower School classes during the day Monday. In addition, if interested, the Volunteer Librarian(s) could be trained to assist with cataloguing and circulation.

If you would like to donate an item from this list, or lend a hand in some other way, please contact Hallie Gammon (hallie.gammon@stmes.net) for more details.

 Highest priority:

A barcode scanner capable of decoding Code 39 barcodes. (Most scanners are compatible with Code 39 out of the box.) For example, this scanner from IDAutomation.

Barcode labels ($45 per 1000 from libraryworld.com; we need at least 4000).

Other wishes:

Two sturdy step stools (one for each library) for reaching high shelves.

A large rug for the fiction room.

12 plastic milk crates for the reference room to hold children's non-fiction.

A complete, recent encyclopedia set.

New fiction and non-fiction, especially Newbery, Caldecott and other award winners. See the ALA's book and media awards page for titles.
